Message This may sound nuts to some people(my girlfriend) and completely legit to a select few. The Z32 I took from completely stock to what I built in my humble home garage known as DracoZX was involved in an accident during Zdayz this year. The long and short of the damage includes complete front support structure, hood, headlights, inner coolers, nose panel, fender, fascia, radiator etc. in that front area of the car. There's some other engine related issues but not too serious.
My issue is that me and that car have won a lot of shows and been on alot of tracks. Basically its my pride and joy and also helped to start my business griggzgarage. I'm thinking about getting a slicktop and transferring everything over from Draco. I have come to love the chassis stiffness from my NA slicky with the exact same suspension. Also I just dont really use the ttops at all. I plan on painting the slicktop Aztec Red just like Draco is now. So I figured this was a perfect opportunity to make a change.
My question to you.....Is DracoZX dead in your eyes if his shell goes away? Or by transferring his heart(engine), brains(ecu/electronics),interior, suspension, and spirit, would the slicktop take on DracoZX? I dont know any other way of putting it, please dont call the psych ward!!! My girlfriend is seeing if we can get a shaman to come in and do some sort of ceremony, lol. I just would hate to see it go away. All the Z's I have owned have been built with a certain theme/ personality in mind but kept subtle. I get attached to them and this one has been the best of all my Z's.
OK so now that you think I'm a little "touched" let me know what you think. For the others that will just say" its just a car" yada yada yada, keep it to yourself. You just dont get it!

Thanks for any thoughts you may have.

P.S. big thanks to those that called or texted with offers of parts to fix DracoZX. You know who you are!
